The recent news about the southern California fires is tragic and upsetting. There is no doubt that homes and lives will be ruined as a result.  The fire is reported to be the wrost fire ever in California.   It is my hope that all of you out there have a safe place to stay and are out of harms way.   At this point in time I must ask myself:  What can I do as an individual to help make a difference? Can I do anything as a student to help make this tragedy just a little more endurable for those affected?

I am not sure what the answer is or should be. So the following will be my attempt.

1. I, on behalf of the AITP student members, will setup a web page to help organize and communicate emergency information.  We will gather this inofrmation from all avilalbe news sources and make it conveniently available in one place. 
2. I will setup a fund to solict donations for the vicitims of this unfortunate event.
