Virtualization has become one of the most talked-about technologies because it breaks the requirement of dedicated server hardware and software, allowing virtual server components to be dynamically created, mirrored, and backed up for maximum efficiency, agility, and cost savings. Listen as Bala Govender shares experiences about this technology and real world stories of hardware efficiencies, migration issues, expectations, and some hard learned lessons that you won't want to miss.

Mr. Govender currently serves as Vice President, IT and Chief Information Officer of Jazz Semiconductor. Prior to this, he held the position of Executive Director, Information Technology at Mindspeed Technologies Inc and Conexant Systems Inc. He joined Rockwell International in 1996 and served as Director, Information Technology with responsibilities for Core Business Processes and applicable Systems. Before joining Rockwell International, Mr. Govender spent 15 years at Unilever South Africa (Pty) Ltd. He held various positions in Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance and Information Technology. He held the position of Commercial Officer for 4 years and his last assignment was Team Leader, Business Process Reengineering and SAP applications. Mr. Govender received his Bachelors in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa.

Rick Winniger, the Technical Focus Lead for the Virtualization Practice at Fusionstorm will also be in attendance.
