Classes To Resume Monday, Oct. 29

Due to the wildfires, San Diego State University has cancelled classes and postponed or cancelled events scheduled through the weekend. Exceptions:WPA, ACT, TOEFL & GRE exams will be held on Saturday. On-campus residence halls and essential support services such as food service and student health care will continue to operate as normal. The SDSU Library will re-open on Sunday at noon.

There is no present threat to the campus from the fires.

Normal campus operations and classes will resume on Monday, Oct. 29. Depending on weather conditions, outside air quality may not be ideal. Take necessary precautions - including staying indoors as much as possible - to minimize your exposure to smoky air. Keep windows closed. If necessary, consult a physician. A limited number of free respirator masks will be available for SDSU students, faculty and staff at Calpulli Center/Student Health Services and Physical Plant Work Control Office. Indoor air quality remains good to excellent.

Any student, faculty or staff member in need of immediate emergency assistance can contact SDSU Public Safety at (619) 594-1991.

SDSU will continue to operate a shelter for displaced students, faculty and staff at Peterson Gymnasium until Saturday, Oct. 27 at 10 a.m.
